up in Palmdale at Deryl and Sherrill's house.
Uncle Ron shared a charming story about some of Anna's quilting,
Jodell and Anna showing off a quilt. - Here is some
background on that quilt. Carl and I were headed out to the desert here in
Carbon County, UT. We met some folks, father, mother, son, and daughter, from
Tennesee that had pulled off the road and was trying to decide whether or not to
take the off road to the Cleavland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry. There son loved the
dinosaurs. I told them not to chance the off road going that way. That they
would have to go all the way around to Cleavland and come in that way. After
talking for awhile they gave me there address and I sent the son some dinosaur
bones. I told Anna about the meet with these folks and out of the goodness of
her heart she made that dinosaur quilt along with a quilt for the daughter and
sent them to Tennesee. Those folks had no idea that Anna was going to do this
for them. Those kids were absolutly thrilled to get those quilts. About a year
later they stopped by my house and had some cool presents ( a big bag of grits,
a hat and cup from the Tennesee football team) to give me and some presents that
they wanted to send to Anna, so I gave thm her address. It was a very enjoyable
experience for them, myself, and Anna.
Keep up the great work Lon. I sure enjoy all of the
images. Ron
